XL Refrigerators manufacture and supply deli cabinets and display refrigerators for a range of businesses. GMI Energy recently fitted a 30kWp solar PV system to the roof of their factory in Pudsey. The 30kWp system is the optimum size for XL Refrigerators, maximising their electricity purchase savings by ensuring they will use 100% of the electricity generated by the system on site and reducing the amount of electricity then need to buy from the grid. In addition, XL Refrigerators will earn revenue from the government-backed Feed in Tariff and Export Tariff, which is deemed at 50% of the total production for a system of this size.
The solar PV system has been carefully designed in-house by the GMI Energy team to generate the highest possible yield. Advanced monitoring hardware has been fitted, which enables the client to view their production in near real-time. GMI Energy Facilities Management team will be checking on the performance of the system, responding to any fault alerts and conducting an annual inspection to make sure the system continues to generate in the long-term.
"Thank you for a smooth, efficient process from the quotation phase through to sign off and handover" - Richard Bruce, Director, XL Refrigerators
